Cornhole in the Community
You can play cornhole any time and almost anywhere these days. It’s no longer just a backyard game at your neighbor’s house. Cornhole will always be a great game to have at your BBQs and block parties, but now there are various locations where the game can be enjoyed.
Local Businesses
The best place to find a casual and laid-back game is at a local brewery or restaurant. Many businesses now provide cornhole as an addition of entertainment to their place. If they have a spacious patio or outdoor area, there is a good chance that they ha
ve cornhole boards. Gather with your friends to enjoy a beautiful day outside, supporting local businesses and a little friendly competition. Here are some local places in Northern Colorado that have our boards!
*Loveland*
- Backyard Tap – A great location featuring a variety of beers, seltzers, and wines. Enjoy the outdoor venue complete with firepits, picnic tables, and live music.

*Fort Collins*
-Prost Brewing Fort Collins – German style beers with a game room in the basement and patio to enjoy the nice weather!

- The Axe and Ale – Axe throwing and cornhole? Yes! Check out this awesome place and enjoy their patio too!

Join a Cornhole League
A cornhole league is a great way to meet new people in your area while playing a fun game. They typically meet once a week at a local venue and the format can differ based on the league. In our league, we play 4 games per night and a tournament at the end of the 8-week session. There are even some that you can sign up as an individual and then be paired with a partner, or even sign up with up to 6 people per team. There is something for everyone! Local or Charity Tournaments
If you’re at the point where you are choosing where you go based on whether they have cornhole boards…take it a step up! Try your toss at a tournament. There is likely a charity tournament somewhere close to you in the Spring and Summer months. Depending on where you live, maybe even in the Fall and Winter as well. A local tournament is a great way to support your community and have fun while doing it. Non-profit organizations have found a cornhole tournament to be very lucrative for fundraising, so more and more are popping up. Check your local area to see how you can participate! A couple in Northern Colorado coming up are listed below that we will be involved with!
*Holes and Hops – June 3rd supporting Colorado Youth Outdoors. Sign Up Here
*Bags for Builds – July 25th supporting Loveland Habitat for Humanity. Sign Up Here
Drop-in or Nightly Tournaments
When you really start honing in your bag toss skills and want to get competitive, consider what’s called a drop-in or nightly tournament with a local cornhole club. As the sport of cornhole grows, so does the presence of these clubs. In the Northern Colorado area alone, there are at least 4. On any given night you can find a drop in event. Check the Scoreholio app for details in your local area!
